2025 Youth and High School Rugby Camp

18-20 February, 2025

Camp Registration:  $60


This camp is for boys and girls who want to learn to play rugby or for those who want to get ready for the Spring and Summer seasons!

The camp is for ages 7 to 18, with age-appropriate instruction.  Whether you are a returning player looking to tune up for the upcoming season, a HS athlete looking for a challenging new sport, or a parent looking for a new sport for your kid, this camp is a great place to get things started off right!

The camp will be from 9AM-3PM daily, lunch and hydration provided.  Location:  Wide World of Indoor Sports (WWIS), North Kingstown, RI (map below).

Cleats are not required.  Players aged 7-11 will participate in non-contact flag rugby, with fun, age-appropriate drills and skills-related games.  Ages 12-18 will participate in light-contact drills (similar in contact level to basketball) and skills-related exercises.  Mouthguards are recommended for ages 12-18 (in case of accidental contact during drills).   WWIS and Rugby RI will be fully insured by USA Rugby for liability and secondary injury.   


Note to Parents/Guardians:   We wish we could have continued to provide this camp for free, but the tremendous response to last year's camp meant that we either moved to the larger building at WWIS or limited the number of campers (as we had to last year).   So we moved to the larger building, which doubled our costs and now requires us to ask for a registration fee.

There are a limited number of financial-need scholarships available:  Please contact president@rugbyri.org to apply.   Financial hardship will never get in the way of a kid playing rugby in RI.   Donations to support these scholarships are welcome.
